Grow Your Own Drugs

This new BBC2 show begins on Monday March 2nd at 20:30pm and looks set to be interesting and inspirational enough to get people into their gardens and kitchens creating their own herbal remedies. I found out about the programme in early January and have eagerly been awaiting it’s airing ever since.
I’ve had the book for a few weeks as I got sent a copy to review for the Herb Society and I’ve already made a few of the items from the book with great success. There are lots more that I want to try including the Lemon Balm Lip Salve as soon as the lemon balm is up and is in sufficient abundance to be harvested to make it.
The information below is taken from a BBC press page with an interview with James Wong, check out the link below to read the full interview. There will also be a website when the show starts, so keep checking this link until it works! Grow Your Own Drugs Website.

In the series, James uses a delicious mix of gardening, cooking, health and beauty and offers viewers an informative guide to plants. He tells how their beneficial properties may help with minor everyday ailments, from coughs and colds to eczema and insomnia…” Full Interview Here.
